CLOVIS, CA (KMJ) Clovis homicide detectives are searching for a newer-model Tesla involved in the brazen murder of 18 year old Caleb Quick.
“It was a pre-planned, targeted murder,” Clovis PD Chief Curt Fleming said.
In an exclusive interview Monday on KMJ’s Broeske & Musson, the Chief said investigators are zeroing-in on the getaway car – a 2024 Tesla. “It’s just a matter of time,” Flemming said.
The shooting happened just before 9 p.m. on Wednesday, April 23, outside the McDonald’s on Willow and Nees avenues. Quick was meeting his friends when the gunman followed him to the parking lot. The victim was then shot in the head. Surveillance video shows the hooded and masked gunman sit down inside the restaurant, staring at Quick in silence for at least 13 minutes.

Chief Flemming announced an anonymous donor has chipped in another $10,000 running the total award for tips to Valley Crime Stoppers to $20K.
